Sign of the times at Dalriada Lodges

It’s now even easier to find Dalriada Luxury Lodges…thanks to our new brown tourism sign!

These signs are very common today but were only introduced onto British roads in 1984. The brown tourism direction boards have been used on French roads since the 1970s and the first UK trials of these useful little signs were in Kent and Nottinghamshire.

In Scotland, it is necessary to be part of the VisitScotland Quality Assurance scheme in order to have one of the signs highlighting holiday accommodation, visitor attractions and other facilities. Dalriada passed its quality assurance inspection with flying colours in 2018 and achieved the top award of 5-star accreditation.

Today there are tens of thousands of brown signs around the country and we are delighted that the most recent one in Stonehaven is for Dalriada Luxury Lodges.
